Reminder Regular District Board meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month, beginning at 6:30 PM. Meetings are usually held at Flathead County Library but due to COVID-19 precautions are being carried out on the Zoom app. Please contact a board member for an invitation if you wish to attend. Agendas are posted on the community bulletin board located at Eagle Park.
Emergency Procedures Have enough water stored for your domestic use in the case that we have a prolonged water system failure. Each resident should have enough water stored in order to provide for each person in the family for at least two days. It is recommended to have at least 1 gal./person per day. Don’t forget your pets.

Water Payments Meters are typically read on the first of each month with the exception of holidays. Bills will be sent out by the seventh of the month and are due before close of business on the twenty eighth of each month. If the twenty eighth falls on a weekend or holiday, the bill is due on the last business day before the twenty eighth. Any payments received after the due date will be assessed the $15.00 late fee. Payments can be mailed in, set up with your bank to mail your payment prior to the due date, paid through PayPal on the web page, or delivered to Bryan Gilbertson, CPA located at 690 North Meridian Road, Suite 217. They are open Monday through Thursday, 8:00 to 12:00 PM and 1:00 to 5:00 PM, Friday from 8:00 to 12:00 PM. They are closed on holidays.
Base Water Rate Reduction

The Board of Directors is once again pleased to announce the continuation of a reduction in the base water rate. It has been lowered from $37 to $34 per month which includes the first 3,000 gallons.
Summer Irrigation The Board has also voted to continue the reduced summer water rates for the months of May through September. This is in response to requests made to encourage watering of lawns by reducing costs through the summer months. The new base rate of $34 includes the first 3,000 gallons. After that, the variable rate of $2.75/ thousand gallons will be reduced to $1.50/ thousand gallons. It will be reevaluated again at the end of the year.
For those on City sewer, the City of Kalispell also has a reduced “Summer Sprinkling rate”. Check their website, kalispell.com for more information.
There is no irrigation schedule again this year.
You can make summer water bills less expensive by making larger payments during the winter months when water usage is lower and create a credit that can be used during the summer months. Please use water responsibly.
Electronic Payments The District has set up a PayPal account for those residents who would like to make payments electronically. Go to the District Web Site www.gcwsd.net , Select the “Payment Info” tab, scroll down to the “Pay Now” button, and follow the prompts to get set up to make your payment. You are not required to have a PayPal account to make a payment.
Web Site To help keep residents informed, the District has set up a website. It is gcwsd.net. District history, rates, By-Laws, newsletters, etc. are listed.
Averaging of Meter Readings You may have noticed that your water bill has been averaged. This happens when there has been a failure of the component that electronically reads the number of gallons used from the meter. The meter is still calculating usage but the “reader” has malfunctioned. When the “reader” gets replaced it gives the current accurate reading. An adjusted billing will occur which brings your bill back to the actual usage. We have had a rash of failures of the readers and are getting them replaced as soon as possible. We apologize for any inconvenience.
Water Leak at Stag Lane Pumphouse Some of you noticed a water outage around 2:00 AM last March. We had a major leak at one the pumphouses when a valve failed. It flooded the pumphouse but an alarm system that is in place alerted our water operator. He was able to quickly address it and get the water turned back on. There was water damage to the interior of the pump house which has been repaired. The valve has also been replaced.
